Any parent seeking to enroll a child in Religious Education (RE) classes, 4K - 12th Grade, must attend one of the mandatory Parent Meeting and Registration Nights:
All families must register for RE classes each school year. Children need to be registered in order to attend classes. This year registration forms have not been included with our mailing, but will instead be distributed at the end of the Parent Meeting and Registration Nights. They may be filled out immediately, returned via mail, or dropped off at the Parish Office. Please register by Thursday, September 1st.
As in the past, we are requiring that parents/guardians attend a Continuing Formation Evening once in the fall semester and once in the spring semester. The goal of these formation evenings is to further equip you for educating your children in the Faith. Once the times and dates of these evenings have been scheduled, they will be communicated.
This year we have also included two optional family formation days. We want to encourage you as a family to participate together in these enrichment opportunities. These two formation days will be highlighting the preparatory seasons of Advent and Lent.
2022-2023 R.E. FEE SCHEDULE:
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: No parish family will be denied registration into a Religious Education program because of financial need. To request assistance, please contact Fr. Joe. All requests for financial assistance will be held in strict confidence.
"Go...and make disciples!"
--- Jesus (Matthew 28:19)
"I give you a new commandment: love one another.
As I have loved you, so you also should love one another.
This is how all will know that you are my disciples,
if you have love for one another.”
--- Jesus (John 13:34-35)
By virtue of our baptism and the gift of faith that we have received from the Lord Jesus each of us is called to follow Him as His personal disciple. The word "disciple" comes from a Greek word that originally meant "student" or "learner." Jesus, being the Master or Teacher, asks us to follow Him as His committed, intentional "students", who daily strive to grow in our love for Him and for others.
Christian discipleship is not an extraordinary path for a select few. No, rather, it is the ordinary path for all baptized Christians. We walk this road of Christian discipleship through an intentional life of spiritual discipline (notice how the words "disciple" and "discipline" are related!) - seeking out opportunities:
